Border South + USA v. Scott
Carrboro Film Fest is proud to present Border South, a documentary feature that illuminates the tragedy of the countless Central American immigrants who disappear in their attempt to find refuge in the U.S. Directed by Raúl O. Paz-Pastrana, the film exposes a global migration system that renders human beings invisible in life as well as in death.
Opening the screening is "USA v. Scott," a documentary short about a geography professor awaiting felony trial and a possible 20-year-prison sentence for giving food and shelter to migrants in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. Directed by Ora DeKornfeld and Isabel Castro.
The 15th annual Carrboro Film Fest is going virtual November 20-29. Rent individual film blocks for $4.99, or stream the entire festival for only $30 on Vimeo On Demand!
