Southern Truths: Documentary Shorts

Southern Truths is a collection of documentary shorts exploring diverse ways to experience the South and to live as a Southerner. In this film block, we travel to Texas to meet a Sri Lankan-born teacher and mother who’s crazy about basketball. We follow a team of North Carolina eco-volunteers working to preserve a river. We witness the obstacles and resistance that Black Lives Matter activists face in Graham, NC. Together, these true stories reveal the challenges and complexity of life in the South.
