Southern Beings is a collection of narrative shorts depicting the diversity of existence in the South. A religious girl discovers a secret her best friend has been hiding. Three 8th-graders reflect on their final days of middle school in the rural South. A dancer faces a choreographer’s unwanted sexual advances. These films profoundly and originally illustrate the existential drama of life the South.
